NOLA TheaterNew Orleans is "The Big Easy," and our real estate agents want to make it easy for you to enjoy!

When you're looking for New Orleans homes for sale, you know you'll also be getting a heaping helping of culture, cuisine, and fun! This city is one of America's live music capitals. It celebrates its heritage with some of the best down-home jazz jam sessions you'll find anywhere!

But even though jazz is a big part of the story, it's not the whole story.

The city is full of world-class venues to catch a concert, play, ballet, song, or story – something passed down through the ages or full of modern flair. It's all up to you here in New Orleans.

Let's take a closer look at seven local venues that you won't want to miss:

  • The Music Box Village – 4557 North Rampart Street, New Orleans, LA 70117
The Music Box Village is a large-scale community art project conceived by members of New Orleans Airlift, a New Orleans nonprofit led by local artists. Reflecting the DIY skills and imagination of dozens of local creators, its interactive "musical houses" are the perfect place to catch a musical or dramatic performance.

  • The Stage Door Canteen – 945 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70130
Located within the National World War II Museum, The Stage Door Canteen pays homage to the original venue by that name used to entertain troops. Visitors can see it all in evening and matinee performances: Big bands, dancing, vintage-style vocals, and theatrical shows harkening back to The Stage Door's rich history.

  • Ashé Cultural Arts Center – 1712 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70113
Ashé Cultural Arts Center provides exhibits, slam poetry, speakers' series, and (of course) dramatic productions celebrating the rich diversity and cultural heritage of New Orleans. It is a spectacular way to connect, learn, and experience community.

  • The Orpheum Theater – 129 Roosevelt Way, New Orleans, LA 70112
The Orpheum Theater recently celebrated its centennial anniversary. Productions range from classic jazz to modern alternative, one-man (and one-woman!) shows, and off-Broadway originals. There's always something new going on at The Orpheum.

  • UNO Lakefront Arena – 6801 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70122
On the campus of the University of New Orleans, UNO Lakefront Arena is a centerpiece of the beloved college's music and drama programs. It also invites star-studded performances from around the world: Everything from the family-friendly Paw Patrol Live! to the Fabulously Funny Comedy Festival.

  • The New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park – 916 North Peters Street, New Orleans, LA 70116
The New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park is a living tribute to the long history of New Orleans Jazz. Music is always a part of the learning and fun at this park. Famous for its children's programs and activities, it also has permanent exhibits on every era of the New Orleans Jazz tradition.

  • Dixon Concert Hall at Tulane University – 104 Dixon Hall, New Orleans, LA 70118
Dixon Concert Hall at Tulane University seats 1,000 and will thrill you with its concert series. Ensembles from throughout Tulane's music and theater departments showcase their best work here on a regular basis, inviting supporters and the public.
