After the beads are swept away at Mardi Gras and the last note's left hanging in the air at Jazz Fest, New Orleans is still America's most unique city. Mardi Gras is only the beginning. All year long the New Orleans area hosts festivals and celebrations. One of the most famous is the New Orleans Jazz Fest, held each spring.
