One of 50 or so antebellum homes in and around Franklin. 909 Second Street was built in 1832. First restored in the 20's and has been brought to its current level of preservation by current owners. On the National Register of Historic Places. Architecturally it's an Anglo/French mixture with Federal millwork details but with Creole influences in floor plan and brick & cypress construction; four particularly noteworthy Federal style mantels; imposing five bay double bay galleried front façade elevator.
